Run by Christian Ker Reid, and by his three sons, William Ker Reid, David Reid and Christian Bruce Reid, after his death. Run by the Reid family and partners until 1930, when it became Reid & Sons Ltd. Today (2013) the shop and showroom still exists in Blackett Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Since 1967 the firm has been a subsidiary of Northern Goldsmiths Co Ltd
