1733-1748 - styled Viscount Perceval. 1742 - produced two volumes of the Genealogical History of the House of Yvery. 1748 - succeeded his father as second Earl of Egmont in the Irish peerage. 1762 - created Baron Lovel and Holland of Enmore, Somerset. 1763 - appointed to succeed the Earl of Sandwich as First Lord of the Admiralty, in George Grenville's ministry. 1766 0- resigned as First Lord of the Admiralty.
