Queen Adelaide, the Queen Consort of King William IV of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, was born in 1792 in Germany. Married in 1818 and becoming Queen Consort in 1830. She was the first member of the British Royal Family to travel by train in 1840. She died at Bentley Priory in 1849.
