1863 - construction started by Westwood Baillie, Poplar and completed by Thames Ironworks, Blackwall. 1888 - used for harbour service. 1897 - used as depot ship. 1904 - renamed Indus IV. 1916 - renamed Valiant (Old). 1919 - renamed Valiant III. 1924 - used as an oil hulk. 1956 - broken up at Zeebrugge.
