Worked in the merchant navy. Studied at the Royal College. Had some photographs used on Grandstand credits. Taught at Brighton, St. Martins, Manchester and Harrogate colleges and spent 7 years in Mongolia. He has works in the collections of The V&A Museum; Yale Centre for British Art and The Arts Council of Great Britain.
