National Screen Service

Formed in 1920 to produce and distibute movie trailers on behalf of movie studios. Controlled the distribution of theatrical advertising materials in the United States from 1940 to the 1980s.

Established an office in London in 1926. During the war production was moved to the London suburb of Perivale. Created trailers, main titles, end credits, optical effects and posters and publicty material. Three directors of the UK subsidiary bought the company 1987. Became National Screen Service UK. Closed in 2007.
