Tim Peake is a retired European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut of British nationality. He finished his 186-day Principia mission working on the International Space Station for Expedition 46/47 when he landed back on Earth 18 June 2016. Tim is a best-selling author and has a background as a test pilot, flight instructor and a British Army Air Corps officer. During his six months on the ISS in 2015-2016, Tim conducted hundreds of experiments, conducted a spacewalk and ran the London marathon. He is an ambassador for STEM Education, The Prince's Trust and the Scout Association.
