Professor Roderick Ian Muttram began his career at the Atomic Energy Authority, Harwell before moving to Chloride. From 1980 to 1993 worked for Ferranti Instrumentation as Assistant Project Manager, Assistant Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, Director and General Manager and finally Group Director of Engineering. He was appointed Director Electrical Engineering & Control Systems for Railtrack in 1994, serving this capacity until 1997. He worked as Railtrack’s Director Safety & Standards from 1997 to 2003. He served as Vice President of Bombardier from 2003.
