Adrian Shooter was born in 1943. He led the management buyout for the Chiltern Trains franchise, and eventually became the Chairman of the resulting train operating company. He has also served as the Chairman of the Association of Train Operating Companies, Wrexham & Shropshire Railway, Tyne & Wear Metro, Vivarail and Vintage Trains Ltd.
