Alan P. Dyke became a Draughtsman in District Engineer’s Office at Brighton in 1964, he then undertook a Civil Engineering Sponsored Studentship. He has worked as Works Engineer (Structures) for British Rail: Southern Region at Croydon and has served as the Chief Engineer for Union Railways (High Speed 1).
