Raymond Christopher Price was born in 1955. He became a Secondman (footplate) at Cricklewood depot, Cambridge Street in 1971. He went on to be a Controller and Supervisor at Euston, King’s Cross and Rugby. He worked as a Station Supervisor/Assistant Station Manager at Euston and the Performance Manager at King’s Cross. He served as an Area Operations Manager at Watford and King’s Cross. He joined InterCity as the Operations and Resources Manager, based at King’s Cross, and became the Performance Manager for West Anglia & Great Northern. He has worked for Network Rail as an Operations Manager and a Zone Director both in East Anglia. He has also been the Managing Director of Arriva Trains Northern and the Managing Director of Arriva Trains.
