Scottish print dealer and publisher in Paris, flourished 1775-1820. Name also spelt as 'Le Noir'. He sometimes titled himself as 'marchand fournisseur du cabinet des estampes du Roi'. Publishing prints in English manner from 1781, which were advertised in French press. His career after 1789 is obscure. The British Museum also gives addresses for him in Paris.
