Spencer Frederick Gore 1878 - 1914
Gore studied art at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, after which he visited Europe. In France in 1904 he met Walter Sickert and Lucien Pissarro both of whom he was influenced by. After his return he moved to Camden Town, London. Gore was a member of the New English Art Club and was the first president of the Camden Town Group. His works were significant in the post-impressionist movement.
