Dean is an artist of international renown who emerged onto the British art scene in the 1990s. She was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1998, won the Hugo Boss Prize in 2006, and was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in 2008. Her position was cemented in 2018 by three concurrent exhibitions LANDSCAPE, PORTRAIT, STILL LIFE staged by the Royal Academy, National Portrait Gallery and National Gallery. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany, and Los Angeles, California. She is represented by Frith Street Gallery, London and Marian Goodman Gallery, New York/Paris.
