1915: The London Rubber Company was formed.
1929: The Durex brand name was launched. Durex stands for durability, reliability and excellence.
1960s: Durex launches the first anatomically shaped condom
2007: Production finally stopped in the UK and was transferred to China, India and Thailand.
2012: Durex was not an official sponsor of the Olympic Games, but they provided over 150,000 free condoms to more than 10,000 athletes that competed in the 2012 Summer Olympic games in London.
