Balfour Beatty is a London-based construction, civil engineering and rail services company. It is one of the largest construction companies in the UK, and the 15th largest in the world. It was established in 1909 by George Balfour, a Scottish mechanical engineer, and Andrew Beatty, an English chartered accountant. The company was a part of the People Mover Group, which manufactured the MAG-LEV train for Birmingham Airport.
