1987 - formed when Leyland Trucks Division (including Freight Rover) of the British Rover Group merged with the Dutch DAF Trucks Ltd to form DAF NV; the company traded as Leyland DAF in the United Kingdom and as DAF elsewhere; manufactured trucks at its plants in Leyland and Eindhoven, Netherlands, and vans at its Birmingham;

1993 - DAF NV became insolvent; four new companies emerged as management buyouts, LDV Limited, Multipart Solutions Limited, Leyland Trucks and DAF Trucks.
