During the 2nd World War the Vauxhall plant at Luton built a wide range of vehicles for the Allied War Effort. The scale model of a mobile canteen lorry at 1964-64/6 Pt1, which was built by the model makers Bassett-Lowke as part of a series commissioned by Vauxhall Motors, is a good example which has been selected for the Web (March 2001).
