1905 - went to Lamorna, with Charles Crombie. 1912 - elected to the Newlyn Society of Artists. 1933 - joined the St Ives Society of Artists. He was heavily involved in the Cornwall art scene and was an active part of the Newlyn School, Lamorna Group and St Ives Society of Artists.
