1833 Antoine LeCoultre (1803-1881) founded a small workshop in Le Sentier in the Vallee de Joux, Switzerland; 1866 - Elie LeCoultre, son of Antoine, transformed the workshop into a company and manufactory: Lecoultre & Cie; 1903 - In Paris, Edmond Jaeger (1858-1922) challenged Jacques-David LeCoultre (1875-1948) to produce movements he had invented; 1937 - the new brand Jaeger-LeCoultre is launched; 2009 - Jaeger-LeCoultre, Branch of Richemont International S.A., Rue de la Golisse 8, CH-1347 Le Sentier, Switzerland.
