Hobart Manufacturing Company

Founded in 1897 as the Hobart Electric Manufacturing Company in Troy, Ohio, by Clarence Charles Hobart. Initially through attaching motors to meat grinders and coffee mills they became a major producer of commercial food equipment.

The Hobart brand continues although the original company is now part of the global Illinois Tool Works (ITW) group.
