1917 - in his capacity as the Chairman of Halisahar Municipality (a position granted to current locomotive superintendents) he was instrumental in creating the Kanchrapara Municipality. 1926 - employed as Locomotive and Carriage Superintendent for Eastern Bengal Railway. 1928 - published (along with others) Eastern Bengal Railway: Fuel Economy in Connection with the Working and Management of Locomotives.
