1901 - moved back to Holland with his family for his education. 1910 - flew the first plane he built himself. 1912 - established a small aircraft factory at Johannisthal near Berlin. 1919 - after WW1, his first factory opened in Amsterdam in the hangars of the ELTA exibition. 1922 - established the Atlantic Aircraft Corporation in New Jersey.
