Multitone was established in 1931 by Joseph Poliakoff in London. The company has been a manufacturer of electro-medical equipment such as hearing aids, radio receivers and amplifiers, and were a leading developer of pagers. The company continues to work in telecommunications and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Champion Technologies group of companies.
