1927 - founded as H. Hacker by Ron and Arthur Hacker. 1936- name changed to Dynatron Radio Limited. During the second world war they produced airborne guidance systems for the R.A.F. The company expanded from approximately 70 employees to 160 during this time.1954- taken over by Ecko; The Hacker brothers left the company in 1959 to set up Hacker Radio; 1960- Ekco merged with Pye; 1967- Pye merged with Philips; 1981- Philips sold it to Roberts Radio.
