East London Health Project

- Health information provider
The East London Health Project was launched in 1978 to disseminate information about health issues to the local population in light of the cuts being made to the National Health Service. It was run by a steering group which consisted of artists Loraine Leeson and Peter Dunn, individuals from the NALGO and NUPE health workers unions, the East London Trades Council, and the Tower Hamlets Health Campaign. Overall, eight posters were created over a two year period. The posters engaged people with a range of themes, including class and health inequality, women's health, and the commercialisation of medicine.
