John Richardson Wigham 1829 - 1906

c. 1844 - apprentice to his brother-in-law Joshua Edmundson's business in Capel Street in Dublin and ran the business from 1848; interested in developing lights for lighthouses and supplying power to light them; 1877 - invented 31-day oil lamp fitted in a buoy or mounted on a tower.
