1860 - on the death of John Seaward, the Canal Iron Works was sold to William Jackson and Richard Watkins and became Jackson and Watkins. 1861 - made 'powerful' sheerlegs for Sebastopol. 1890 - Canal Iron Works taken over by East and West India Dock Co in order to enlarge the entrance to South West India Dock.
