Established from the company formed by Donal Morphy and Charles Richards in1936 (public form 1947) who respectively sold their shares to EMI and AEI Hotpint (later part of BDA - British Domestic Appliances Co. Ltd.). Manufacturing first at St Mary Cray, Kent, transferred to Swinton Works at Mexborough, S. Yorkshire, England. Now owned by the Irish Glen Dimplex group.
