1921 - SEISMOS GmbH founded by Dr. Ludger Mintrop in Dortmund;

1937 - Die Gesellschaft für praktische Lagerstättenforschung GmbH , (the Society for practical deposit research) later known as PRAKLA, qas founded 23 March in Berlin

1963 - Prakla and Seismos combine to form Prakla-Seismos

1972 - PRAKLA-SEISMOS Geomechanics GmbH

1985 - GmbH transformed into a corporation and a planned IPO

1991 - re-converted into a limited company and was sold to Schlumberger Limited and broken up. SEISMOS was immediately abandoned. PRAKLA existed as GECO PRAKLA for some time.
