W. Ladd & Co. were scientific instrument makers in the late nineteenth century. They took over from William Ladd (d.1884) and were succeeded by Harvey & Peak in 1884.

1869 = William Ladd advertised himself as a ‘Scientific Instrument Maker by Appointment to the Royal Institution of Great Britain’ who engaged in making ‘scientific instruments of every description’.

1882 = The company won a silver medal in the Crystal Palace Electric Exhibition for an early historical dynamo machine.

1884 = Traded at 11 & 12 Beak Street, Regent Street and were later succeeded by Harvey & Peak.
