Authorized on 27 July 1861, opened on 24 August 1864. Made working agreements with the Great Western Railway and the London & North Western Railway jointly on 1 June 1867 and these two companies absored the Ludlow & Cleehill Railway with effect from 1 January 1893 by an Act of 28 June 1892.
