Incorporated on 28 June 1892 with the intention of running a line from the Cannonbury Curve to Moorgate. Disagreements about running lead the GNR to build its own terminus under Finsbury Park, leasing it to the company. It opened on 14 February 1904 and the Metropolitan Railway took control under an Act of 15 August 1913.
