Wallet and tickets, card wallet containing paper tickets, InterCity 21 1966-1987, produced by British Rail InterCity, April 1987. The tickets are specimens for a return trip from London to Liverpool and a Mersey ferry trip to commemorate 21 years of InterCity services. The outward journey was a 1960s-liveried train, with a new Pullman on return. Liverpool Lime Street had been 1960s-themed for the occasion and while the guests took the Mersey ferry trip the station was returned to 1987. These specimens were issued by the designers for approval - those actually issued for travel were identical.
