The paper wrapping is torn in several places, exposing the tongue depressors. Stored inside the first aid kit used by Rear Admiral R.E. Byrd on exploration flight to the Antarctic, 1930. Made by Burroughs Wellcome and Co., United States, 1928-1930

Siemens 16mm magazine cinecamera. Made in Germany, sold by James A Sinclair & Co Ltd, 3 Whitehall, London SW. This cine camera was made for 16mm film in Siemens magazines. It has a Busch Glaukar Anastigmat 2cm f/2.8 lens, Serial No 363726, with a focussing scale under the lens and an exposure guide to its left. The clockwork motor runs at 8, 16 and 64 frames per second, as well as a single frame facility. There are direct vision and reflecting optical finders and a footage counter. Stamped on side 'L. H. L.'
