Right above knee prosthesis, constructed from crashed aircraft in a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp in Singapore during World War II. It was made by Royal Engineer prisoners, under the direction of Col. Julian Taylor FRCS and a Sergeant Armourer. Made c.1943. (Weight: 7.5 lbs 3.4 kg).

Text on reverse reads "Depicting & describing features of Interest to be seen from the train between London (Kings Cross) & Edinburgh (Waverley), Fort William, Inverness and Aberdeen". Comprises a lineal map of the railway with descriptive text and photographs of features along the route. Printed by Ben Johnson & Co Ltd of York. This edition issued in about 1946 with a gummed label on the cover detailing changes to pre-Second World War services.
