Poster, British Railways (Eastern Region), Norfolk, Nelson, by Lance Cattermole, about 1960. Coloured lithograph depicting Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson on the deck of a warship engaged in a battle at sea. Nelson is dressed in his naval uniform complete with decorations, holding a telescope in his left hand, with the redundant right sleeve pinned to his coat. Behind him sailors man the guns as a warship approaches. Probably intended to represent the scene on board HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar, 21st October 1805. Signed by the artist at top right. Text below, reads"Nelson - Born Burnham Rectory 1758 (nearest station Wells-Next-The-Sea). See Britain by Train. British Railways totem logo at bottom left.
