Dawe Instruments Ltd Stroboflash 1200E; Serial no. 43453, 1950s-1960s. Test equipment for measuring rotation speeds of machines. It uses triggered neon flash tubes. The unit is self calibrating with a 50Hz and 60Hz vibrating reed. It has has a speed range from 0rpm to 1800rpm. This stroboscope was used by the Computer Conservation Society in their restoration of the Elliott 401 Computer (1965-445).

In fitted case with 34 single metal darkslides.
