Printed label with distinctive poppy illustration reads, PAPINE/TRADE MARK/BATTLE & CO./St. LOUIS Chemists/ Corporation/Manufactured for the proprietors by ROBERTS & CO.,/76 NEW BOND ST., LONDON, W.1./PAPINE is the anodyne or pain-relieving principle of Opium, the narcotic or convulsive elements being eliminated. 'Papine' contains one grain of morphine hydrochloride to each fluid/ounce...' Product of Battle and Co, St Louis, and prepared by Roberts and Co. London, 1920-1950.
