
Villiers 27B Two-stroke Petrol Engine, 1947-1957

This mark 27B two stroke engine is one of a range of two stroke engines designed for reliability and economical service. It is suitable for driving agricultural implements such as cultivators, ploughs, chain saws, and high speed drainage pumps. Single cylinder 70 mm bore 90 mm stroke develops 7.8 h.p. at 3000 r.p.m. for short periods and 3.5 b.h.p. for continuous running. It has a cast iron cylinder and a detachable head. The carburetter is controlled by a manually operated lever and the ignition by a villiers high tension magneto incorporated in the flywheel. It weighs 84 lbs (approximately 40 kg).
