Paillard Bolex H16 M4 16mm cine camera, serial number 223527. Film capacity of 100ft and 50ft daylight loading spools of 16mm film. Automatic threading and loop forming. Constant speed spring motor mechanism, governor controlled. Large winding handle folds downward and attaches to camerea when not in use. External drive shaft permits the attachement of an electric motor. Lens monunt accommodates a single interchangable c-mount lens, parallax correcting viewfinder gives exact viewing field for lenses of four focal lengths: 16mm, 25mm, 50mm and 75mm. Variable speed 12, 16, 18, 24, 32 and 64 frames per second. 144 degree aperture shutter. Footage counter, audible footage indicator, frame counter, single frame capacity. Manual rewind.

The movement with brass wheels but chromium plated plates, stamped EA and RS on the plates, the maker’s mark S -)-(- L, believed to be for the Société des Lunetiers, on the weight. Snail pace adjustment. C. 1940. 46mm dia.

Chrome cased pedometer with white enamel dial. Blued steel hands. In the form of a pocket watch with knurled stem setting. Outer ring marked up to 1760 yards, the subsidiary dial inscribed up to 50. Belt clip on bow, decorated with an impressed shield & the words “DEPOSE” & “PARIS”. Stamped on the weight is an eagle’s wing and the letters “FWA” within a wheel screw pace adjustment. 40mm dia.
