Striking, weight-driven longcase clock movement by John & James Harrison, Barrow, Lincolnshire, c.1726 – 8. Wooden frame and wheelwork, grasshopper escapement, grid-iron pendulum. Eight-day duration. The grasshopper escapement, pendulum, count-wheel, hammer and bell are not original to the clock and were added in the 1970's. The frame and wheelwork are original. Clockmakers Museum No. 552
