A photograph of a mourning scene, probably taken by William Hope in about 1920. A woman mourns for her husband in a Chapel of Rest, the woman's son stands beside her. The image of a man's face has been superimposed over the original photograph. The spirit album notes that the family were Roman Catholics and believed in life after death.

Rexophone crystal set manufactured by Morch Borthers Limited, London, 1924-1930. Complete with 3 pairs of headphones manufactuered by Telefunken, Germany, 1923-1930. The radio set used tapped inductance tuning and came in a mahogany cabinet with lid, a ‘Xylonite’ control panel available in different colours with imitation marble control knobs and nickel-plated fittings. Gold-plated fittings were supplied for an extra 5/-. It came with terminals for two pairs of headphones and had operating instructions inside the lid. The detector was twin-enclosed cats whiskers / galena detectors with a selector switch on the panel.

A McKay heavy worker's arm for a left above elbow amputation. Blocked leather socket supplied with heavy-duty webbing appendage straps. Short forearm stem (for mechanical advantage when lifting). Splined terminal fitment, necessary for heavy duty tools. A long plain hook is attached. The elbow lock (which may be engaged in one of 7 positions) is manually operated by means of a small lever set on the medial side of the forearm, just below the joint. The forearm release lever is set on the lateral side of the stem. Made by McKay c.1924-30.
