Poster, Cunard Line, Quickest Route New York to London and the Continent via Fishguard, by Odin Rosenvinge, about 1910. Coloured lithograph depicting the view looking down from cliffs onto Fishguard harbour, with a liner in the bay beyond. The liner has four funnels, and is probably intended to represent either the RMS Mauretania or RMS Lusitania. Tugs are working around the liner, and there are other smaller vessels in the harbour. Ferries are berthed at the docks, and two Great Western Railway passenger boat trains are waiting at the adjacent station. Text at the bottom left of the illustration reads "A Cunarder in Fishguard Harbour", and at right is the artist's signature. Text below reads "For further information and to secure berths apply to" with the overprint "Sercombe & Hayes, 9, South Street, Dorchester" below. Format double royal. Dimensions: 1021 x 618 mm.
