Road Transport
Adult cycling helmet, Rudy brand 'Zuma' model. This helmet was used from 2009-2011 at the National Cycling Centre (Velodrome). This model of helmet was suitable for hire at the Velodrome because it is particularly easy to adjust via a large red dial at the rear, and has a shape to fit most heads.

Taylor partial pressure flying helmet type E.P, made by Baxter, Woodhouse & Taylor in 1958. The helmet features an inflatable bag, used to equalize the pressure outside the skull to that within it and thus offset the effects of a 'red out'; caused by blood rushing to the head during negative G manoeuvres.
