Thomas Turner's notebook
Hardback notebook belonging first to Thomas Turner, Driver on the LNER (GN Section), based at Colwick, Nottingham, and then passed to J. H. Potter, driver, in 1962. Contains handwritten notes as an aide memoir on various aspects of working on the railway. Includes notes on signalling, distances between stations, and the crests of the various railway companies.

Notebook, board cover, containing notes made by a relief signalman to record practices and procedures at a number of signal boxes in the South Yorkshire area in the 1930s.
British Railways notebook, marked "Clothing Record" on the cover. Contains hand-written entries of items of uniform and clothing bought for various personnel for the period 23 September 1948 to 28 April 1959. The staff are named. From Langrick station in Lincolnshire. 6.4961 x 4.4094 in.

Notebook, paper bound with leather, North British Railway Locomotive Notebook, circa 1910 to 1931. Contains printed forms filled in by hand recording details of NBR locomotives - number, type, cylinders, wheels coupled, wheel diameter, boiler pressure, water gallons, type of brake, date built. Contains amendations and notes made by the LNER recording rebuilds, condemnations etc. Later pages record various transfers and builds under the LNER.
