Daily Herald Photograph: Large pumpkin

One photograph titled ‘Is this a record for pumpkins’ showing a woman holding a large pumpkin. The caption from the published photograph is attached to the back and reads: ’An enormous pumpkin grown by a St. Briavels gardener and to be given by him to the Abertillery Hospital. It weighs 89lb., 5ft. 9in. in circumference, and 1ft. 11in. in diameter.’ A very similar handwritten caption is also on the back.
