Photograph of London North Western Railway warehouse on Lower Byrom Street

The photograph shows a view of the Lower Byrom Street railway warehouse building, built by London North Western Railway in 1880, seen from the former car park area prior to the Greater Manchester Museum of Science and Industry moving in. The warehouse was known during its working life as the New Warehouse. Since the museum's occupation of the site, it has been known as the Lower Byrom Street Warehouse, the Main Building, and the Great Western Warehouse. Since 2018, it has been known as the New Warehouse.
