Volume - Address given by the Munich Chemical Society

Burgundy box containing a brown leather-bound address to William Henry Perkin given by the Munich Chemical Society on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the discovery of Mauveine. The front cover of the volume is show a relief of an image of an owl, sat on a book surrounded by chemical glass jars and bottles with the dates 1856-1906. The letters 'F.X.W.' have also been embossed in gold to the front.
