He (Green) made a balloon ascent the day before 'with Mr. Monk Masson [sic] & 3 other gentlemen ... grand beyond description'. After 1 1/4 hours 'we descended in Lord Torrington's Park in Kent'. Mr. Crawshay witnessed the ascent.
